Reviews From Our Customers

An answer to my prayers

This book was an answer to our prayers. My son was sleeping only a few hours at a time and as soon as we started using the principles in this book he was sleeping 5 or 6 hours at a time. It's probably better to start using these principles when they're first born, but it works later on too. It's a must have for new parents.

Muto Mom

I recieved this book as a baby shower gift and enjoyed most of the information in it. I was unaware that it was possible to get infants to sleep through the night and will be using these suggestion. Since I don`t know if the book works yet I can not comment on that, but it was worth the read. The book itself was able to keep my interest long enough to read it through, but it annoyed me that it repeats itself so much without explaining things timely. It instructs parents to a feed/wake/sleep program, but was slow to explain what that all meant. Several times I complained to my husband that they needed to get to the point sooner or explain another point better. The book eventually did answer all of my questions, but for parents already with infants, I am not sure that they will have enough time to read the whole book. For mothers-in-waiting I suggest reading this book, if it works everyone will benefit from it!

A Great Guide for New Parents

I bought this book after it was recommended by a friend. I only halfway read it at first, but as my daughter was quite fussy the first 6 weeks or so, I decided to really take the time to read the whole thing. I followed the general guidelines from the book & wish I had done it sooner! I had issues with getting breastfeeding established & probably would have avoided some of it had I read the book sooner! My daughter was sleeping from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. or so by the age of 2-1/2 months. The routine of eating, playing/awake time & sleeping are also advocated in a couple of other books I read. My daughter is almost 8 months old now & a healthy, thriving, very happy baby. She rarely fusses unless she's hungry, tired or sick - talk about making life easier! Our friends & family who have kept her say she is a joy to have & it is so much easier to leave her with people being able to give them general guidelines for her. My daughter has benefited from me reading the book & we have a wonderful relatioship. As with anything else, make sure you do what you feel comfortable with...
