Sound advice about how you should really eat
I heard about The Maker's Diet from a good friend who suffers with collitis. At first I did not understand what I could get out of it since I did not have the same problem. I decided to read it anyway and I am happy I did. This book is not only for people that have specific health problems or are overweight. The Maker's Diet is for everyone that truly wants a healthy life. It sure has some contradictions, specially regarding the recommendation to not eat carbohydrates. All the other diets recommend the same thing and I think that is just a fad. The key element and which I believe makes the difference, is that it is honest about eating natural foods. I don't know what the bible says and don't care. My common sense tells me it is best to eat natural and avoid processed food, and this book tells it like it is. You can accommodate it to your needs, no one needs to tell you that. Try following this diet based on your personal needs and you will see how it really makes a difference.
It's a good book but some information is inconsistent
I read "Patient Heal Thyself" and noticed the same thing. It will recommend not eating seafood but then in the latter chapters, it would include seafood as the recommended diet. Don't get me wrong; the information in the book is unique, like none other. I was just a litte disappointed by the inconsistencies. A book should be thoroughly edited before it goes out to the public and it seems that Dr. Rubin missed that aspect. Otherwise, I would recommend this book to anyone who wishes to be more healthy and vibrant. For people suffering from a debilitating disease, I would recommend his other book, "Patient Heal Thyself."

Jordan Rubin has questionable degrees. Use any search engine and read the articles on the degree mills.
$42.5 million, that's how much Rubin made last year selling products. That number came from Garden Of Life's web site. His books are just infomericals for his expensive products. The books are given away in many natural foods stores. It's a marketing tool not a book. Just a warning, please read the all the reviews of this book before you waste time and money on this book and the products that he pushes in this marketing tool.
