WOW!! Cant say enough
WOW!! Man, oh man. I have been waiting not so patiently for Jamie to come out and I got it as soon as it did. I have read almost all of Lori's books and I love all of them. I have been waiting for Jamie's story ever sience I finished Just A Hint-Clint and it was worth it. I picked the book up and it was over, I could not put it down. I do not want to go over the plot so much as lots of people already tell you what the book is based on, I want to tell people how it made me feel. I picked it up and did not put it down. I read and re-read most of the book because I would read this one part and be blown away, so I had to go back and read it again. This is a magical story. Jamie is everything I thought he would be. I absolutley melted. I loved that throught all the books Jamie sees and helps all his friends. He does all he can to make things right in his friends lives, thinking that he would be alone all his life. But oh no, Jamie is too special to be alone. As he felt others pain and problems, there is someone out there who feels Jamies pain and knows what he needs to be whole.
We also get to see most of the cast from the previous books. When everyone comes together to halp Jamie, sho thinks he does not need it. Oh, this was a wonderful book and I loved every minute I spent reading it. I have only one complaint, that the series is now over.=(. All the loose ends were wrapped up, and everything is taken care of. We get the scoop on Alyx and Scott who have been butting heads ever sience Say No to Joe?
This is definetly a feel good book that puts you on cloud nine. Its one of the best in the series. It left me with a dreamy look on my face and feeling good inside. Jamie is just wow, he has his imperfections, which makes him perfect. Our author knows there is no perfect guy, so she creates the best combination of real man, with fantasy. The book has a lot of elements working for it as well. It is funny, touching and has a little mystery hiding in the shadows. Not too much of anything to make for a great story. I never once got bored or wished for anything other then what I was reading, not one thing could be changed to make it any better in my opinion. This whole series is going on my keeper shelf, its one of the best out there. The series is in my top three and the book is in the top five for me. In a line of hundreds of books, that is good placement. I am sad that it is over, but now I am excited wondering what is going to be next. I highly recommend this book, go out and buy it. But make sure you have plenty of quiet time, you wont move very much while lost in wonderland. I give this book 5+ stars and recommend it to everyone under the sun. You wont regret it, well maybe when you have finished you'll regret being done, but thats about it. This books fits every romance readers ideal book in my opinion.
Who Can Resist Lori Foster's 'Jamie'?
Jamie Creed is the enigmatic recluse, whose presence in the town of Visitation has all of its townsfolk puzzled as to what his story is. The ladies want to mother him and the gentleman folk want to protect him from whatever it is he is running from, because you see, Jamie has a special gift.
He is a psychic, and has the extra special gift of precognition. Jamie lives up in the mountains, and only comes into the town whenever he senses any of the townsfolk are in danger. He is a mysterious modern day super hero to many of the people of Visitation.
Faith Owen is looking for Jamie Creed. She's been searching for him for a long time, and she needs to find him for reasons that only she knows.
She braves a vicious storm in order to try to reach him. She is injured, and exhaustion saps her strength, but her mission is an important one, and she knows that she cannot fail.
Jamie senses the stranger on his mountain, and goes to her aid. He is immediately suspicious of her presence on his territory, and doesn't know what to make of the woman who collapses in his arms. He has been alone too long, and cannot trust that she hasn't been sent by an old enemy. In spite of his suspicions, Jamie, carries her up to hill to his home. Naked.
Before she passes out on his bed, Faith reveals who she is, without giving him an explanation for her visit.
Jamie is drawn to Faith in a way that is alien to him, he is not used to the emotions that grip him whenever he's near to her, so he must find out what her purpose for looking for him is, and send her back to wherever she came from, before she insinuates herself deeper in his heart.
He has his reasons for being alone, and he refuses to give in to Faith's appeal, even though with every look she burns him up.
What I loved about this book, is that Lori didn't deviate from the Jamie that I've glimpsed in previous Visitation books. I still felt the same sense of awe that I had felt in previous books, apart from now, I was able to satisfy my craving for more of him.
Jamie is exactly the kind of romance hero that I love, strong, caring, and sexy as hell. Lori Foster created a hero in Jamie, who women of all ages will love and adore, without exception.
Faith is a vulnerable yet strong heroine, who doesn't shy away from her feelings for Jamie, and desperately wants to care for him, if only he would let her. She knows things about him that nobody else is privy to, she knows his strengths and weaknesses, and appreciates him for the kind and caring soul that he is. Just my kind of heroine.
The attraction between Faith and Jamie fairly sizzled off the page, and throughout the reading of this book, I was kept on tenterhooks.
I love the strength in depth that Lori's characters have. Throughout the book, I felt as if I was visiting old friends, and I love it when an author can make me feel that way.
This book tugged at my emotions without any obvious effort from the author. I'm used to my feelings being manipulated in most books, but in this case, Lori Foster just didn't have to work that hard, which is very rare indeed.
Lori Foster fans will automatically go out and buy this book, but if you've never read a Lori book, I urge you to start with Say No To Joe, and work your way up to Jamie. I promise you, it will be worth every penny.
Jamie - He's Worth Waiting For!
If you are familiar with the wonderful Visitation series by Lori Foster, then chances are you've fallen a little bit in love with Jamie Creed. Now it's his turn to fall in love, and his story is as special as he is. He's mysterious, solitary, sexy, and prone to appearing when he's least expected, then disappearing without a trace. Jamie Creed didn't intend to become so attached to the people of Visitation, but it was in his nature to help when he was needed, and by doing so, he worked his way into the hearts of many. He never wanted anyone to get hurt, so he stayed up on his mountain, away from those who cared about him, in the hopes it would keep them safe. You see, Jamie has amazing abilities, and he had already been hurt once by people claiming to use those abilities for good. He doesn't want anyone else to be hurt because of him. But someone has found Jamie, someone he didn't expect has come to his mountain, and already he's opening up his heart to this woman named Faith, and her special daughter Cory, and starting to think that maybe he can have his own happy ending. Faith knows a side of Jamie and understands him better than he understands himself. But when signs of trouble start to appear, will he lose everything? Jamie is extraordinary, and it's wonderful to see him discover that he is worthy of love, more than he ever dreamed. Frequent interactions with characters from previous books make this story even more touching, and you laugh and cry as Jamie realizes how much he means to his friends. 'Jamie' is the perfect ending to a sexy, emotional, and amusing series that has touched many readers. Lori Foster is an exceptional writer who knows how to tug at your heart.
