Reviews From Our Customers

overrated but better than most star wars books

the thrawn trilogy is ok at best and really overrated. the writing style really hurts the books and takes away from the good story and interesting characters. we don't really need to be informed every time someone has to 'connect to the force', or runs through jedi meditation techniques, etc. it has to be implied at some point really.

Next movies please!

I hear that George Lucas plans to release three more movies "if" he makes "enough" money on episode III. I hope that Timothy Zahn's Heir to the Empire, Dark Force Rising, and The Last Command are Episodes VII, VIII, and IX, respectively. None of the other star wars novels would fit, in my opinion. Lucas recently said that he was stopping at episode iii, so hopefully he'll sell the rights to this series to either Peter Jackson or Steven Spielberg. A dark lord of the Sith kidnaps Han and Leas twin children, and the Luke investigates the imperial stormtrooper cloning facilities heretofore classified. Great series.

Well done but somewhat "clunky"

The climax to this series is not as good as the previous two books. However, COMMAND is still a great read. The main problem I have with it is that Mara Jade seems to gain a lot of control over the force in a very short time. The clone of Luke is a bit....well....silly. How did Luke's hand get found by the villian? The characters are dead on though. I enjoyed the series a lot, but this book was a bit of a let down. It seemed a bit rushed. Zahn tied all his plot threads together very quickly. The novel is worth reading, but without the entire series it would be just an average story at best.
