Quit Digging ... and Live 150 Years
"Quit Digging" is informative, but most of all it is inspirational. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested not only in good looks but also - and especially - in good health. I specifically recommend this book to everyone who went through any of the "low carb", "low fat", "low this, low that" diet plans.
Contrary to other authors, Mr. Huckabee does not offer any rigid diet plans or exercise methods. There are already plenty of those at the market. However, the author gives his readers understanding of the problem - and most importantly - a great support and motivation to start, achieve, and maintain new and healthy lifestyle.
Another, more comprehensive volume that I recommend on the same topic is "Can We Live 150 Years" by Tombak. Dr. Tombak presents similar approach to health and longevity as governor Huckabee. However, having almost twice as many pages, "Can We Live..." offers more detailed information on various aspects of healthy living. It is also interesting that both authors use the same frase in their books ("Digging grave with a knife and fork") that, according to Tombak, has its origin in old Tibetan adage.
Buy this book and live a healthier life!
I heard the author on "The Sean Hannity Show" and was so impressed that I bought the book that evening. Gov. Mike Huckabee is right on the money with this book and he is living proof that you can get healthier, IF, you make a commitment to yourself. This book is informative and motivational. The title says it all......too many Americans ARE digging their grave with a knife and fork. If you want to live a happy, healthy life, read this book. The time to change your life is now. I highly recommend this book.

A surprisingly good guide to healthy living
It's not everyday that you find a book by an elected official that ends on a positive note. "Quit Digging" is both informative and inspirational. The best advice for living a healthy life given by someone that has been through the process. I would recommend this book to anyone who hasn't had luck with diets or even those that think they can't get motivated to live better.
