Awesome books even for troubled readers

My daughter had some problems retaining her letter sounds and has been frustrated because other children her her Kindergarten class are reading. We got the Bob Books for her birthday and she picked it up so fast and began reading within three minutes! She is so proud and wants to read all of her Bob Books and I just learned that there are several box sets that we can buy. It was instant gratification for all of us.

FANTASTIC for BEGINNERS!

These books are *perfect* for kids who are in the very beginning stages of learning to read. At that stage, many of the "early reader" books are far too difficult. But BOB books are perfect. Level A books literally have only 1-, 2-, and 3-letter words in them. The stories are along the lines of: "Mat sat. Sam sat. Mat and Sam sat. Mat sat on Sam. Sam sat on Mat." While such stories may seem insanely dull to an adult, they are absolutely perfect for a beginning reader -- as they allow success. Plus the books are so short that the early reader can make it to the end ("Mom, I read the whole book!") And the goofy cartoon drawings really grow on you. I cannot recommend these enough.

Fabulous Series!!

I ordered these books for my 4 1/2 year old. We LOVE them! We picked up book one on the very first night they arrived... and she "got it" immediately! We are now up to book six with no problems. My daughter is reading these books and is so proud of herself!! Especially for the price... I whole-heartedly recommend these books!
